Careers at Navy Federal

Why join us

Banking is unusual in that the work matters immediately. A slow transfer, a confusing fee or a missed fraud alert lands on someone’s actual life the same day. That’s the reason the job is interesting.

We keep teams small and give them the authority to ship. There’s no committee between noticing a problem and fixing it, and no expectation that you’ll stay in your lane while something obviously needs doing.

What we offer

  • Hybrid by default

Two days a week in an office if you want one, fully remote if you don't. We hire for the work, not the ZIP code.

  • A real learning budget

An annual allowance for courses, conferences and certifications, plus time in the working week to actually use it.

  • Proper parental leave

Six months at full pay for any parent, however you become one, with a phased return that you shape.

  • Ownership, not headcount

Small teams with the authority to ship. If you spot something broken, fixing it is your job, not a ticket for someone else.

How we hire

  • 1. Application

A CV and a few sentences on why the role interests you. No cover letter, no forms that make you retype your CV.

  • 2. First conversation

Forty-five minutes with the hiring manager to cover what the role actually involves and whether it fits.

  • 3. Practical stage

A task or working session based on real problems from the team. Timeboxed, paid where it takes more than an hour.

  • 4. Decision

A final conversation with the wider team, then an answer within three business days either way.

We’re an equal opportunity employer. If you need an adjustment at any stage of the process, tell us and we’ll arrange it — it has no bearing on the outcome.
