Report Fraud

We protect your information

Our fraud prevention systems scan accounts for unusual activity and block unauthorized purchases. If you do become a victim, we’ll work with you to restore your information and prevent further damage — free of charge.

Reporting fraud and other security issues

  • Unauthorized transactions

If a transaction you didn't authorise has posted to your account, you can dispute the charge and report the fraud online.

  • Incorrect transactions

If you did make the transaction but the amount or merchant looks wrong on your debit or credit card, raise a dispute and we'll investigate.

  • Lost or stolen cards

Freeze the card in the app immediately, then call us so we can put a hold on the account and get a replacement out to you.

  • Prepaid cards

Unauthorized transactions on a prepaid card are reported the same way. Freeze it in the app, then contact us with the details.

If a suspicious message appears to be from us

Navy Federal will never ask for your personal information by phone or email. Tell us about any message that appears to come from us and include the detail below. For security, don’t include account details in the email itself.

  • Email

Forward the message to support@navfedunion.com without replying to it, then delete it. Don't open attachments or follow any links it contains.

  • Phone or text

Note the number it came from and roughly when it arrived, then tell us. Hang up and call us back on the number on your card rather than one the caller gives you.

  • Social media

Screenshot the profile and message, report the account to the platform, and send us the handle. We never ask for account details over social media.
